HEALTH BENEFITS

  1. Removal of Allergens: Air purifiers equipped with HEPA filters can effectively capture airborne allergens such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and mold spores. This can help alleviate allergy symptoms and improve overall respiratory health, especially for individuals prone to allergies or asthma.
  2. Reduced Airborne Particles: High-efficiency air purifiers can filter out fine particles and pollutants, including PM2.5 particles, smoke, and airborne chemicals. By reducing the concentration of these particles in the air, air purifiers contribute to better respiratory health and lower the risk of respiratory infections.
  3. Elimination of Odors: Air purifiers with activated carbon or charcoal filters can absorb and neutralize unpleasant odors from cooking, pets, smoke, and other sources. This helps maintain a fresh and clean indoor environment, enhancing comfort and well-being.
  4. Mitigation of Indoor Pollution: Indoor air pollution can result from various sources such as cooking fumes, cleaning products, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from household items, and off-gassing from furniture and carpets. Air purifiers can effectively remove these pollutants, promoting a healthier indoor environment and reducing the risk of respiratory issues and long-term health problems associated with indoor pollution exposure.
  5. Improved Sleep Quality: Cleaner air free of allergens and pollutants can contribute to better sleep quality and overall well-being. Air purifiers can help create a conducive environment for restful sleep by providing fresh, clean air free of irritants that may disrupt sleep patterns or cause discomfort during the night.

MECHANISM

  •  Phase 1 – Air Circulation: The dehumidifier draws in humid air from the surrounding environment using a fan.
  • Phase 2 – Cooling and Condensation: Inside the dehumidifier, the air passes over a set of cooled coils or a cold surface. As the warm, humid air comes into contact with the colder surface, it loses its ability to hold moisture. This causes the moisture in the air to condense into water droplets.
  • Phase 3 – Water Collection: The water droplets that form from condensation collect in a reservoir or tray located within the dehumidifier unit. Some dehumidifiers may also feature a continuous drainage option, allowing the collected water to be drained directly into a sink or drain.
  • Phase 4 – Dry Air Release: Once the moisture has been removed from the air, the now drier air is released back into the environment. This helps to lower the overall humidity level in the room or area where the dehumidifier is operating.

Actually works a bit too well on the max setting, might have to turn it down if you feel your skin is dry…
